Hello CFT followers! It’s been way, way too long.
Chick and a group of friends were in town this weekend and we had a big time celebrating her big Four-Oh! We attended the Tim McGraw concert at Cowboys Stadium and had an amazing time!
Little Chick was in tow and I surprised mother and daughter with a chance to meet the Tim McGraw while our other guests had a fun opportunity to mix and mingle with Dallas Cowboy football greats- Tony Dorsett, Roger Staubach, Emit Smith to name a few.
The highlight of the evening, however, was when Little Chick was chosen by Tim McGraw to sing the final chorus of “Last Dollar”! I was one proud Auntie to see her own that mic! She didn’t freeze or flinch…just belted it out! Remembering her voice booming throughout the new Cowboys Stadium still gives me chills! It was a fantastic performance….and Tim was pretty good too!
So that was how our celebration weekend began. Being around friends old and new and celebrating a big milestone allowed me to reflect upon how many things there are to celebrate in our lives and we have decided to resuscitate Chicken Fried Therapy!
I’m not a Facebooker so I will use this forum to promote the philanthropic causes I support. Additionally, as I approach my 40th birthday, I will post about all the adventures that imparts and I will indulge you in some of the many guilty pleasures that inspire me in the worlds of art, fashion, travel and cooking.
Cheers,
Olive
